Church

I miss going to church. We were very involved in church growing up.
We were a Catholic family. We went to church every Sunday, I was one of the first alter girls ever at church.
We loved our priest too, he would explain everything, like for example one of the readings was like "A letter to John from the Corinthians" and he'd be like well who are the Corinthians and he would explain it, and I actually learned something. He baptized all 3 of us kids, and did my parents church wedding (they got married in Vegas and never had a church wedding).

After about 13 years at this small church where we knew everyone, Our priest left. He left because he was accused of assulting some of the ladies in the church.. now we had no problems with him but he left shortly after that.

The new priest we didnt like so much, probably cause he wasnt like the old one. Around that time, a new Catholic church was opening up very close to our house.. big and new and fancy. We started to go there, but because the are of town the church was built in all had new families, Church got very busy very fast. About a couple of months later, it was so crowded that you had to be there right as the other mass was ending just in order to get a seat and not have to stand.

So that was the end of church going for us. And I miss it, I miss the smallness that we had and the relationships with the other familes and the church volunteers and such.
Its sad that there is not enough Catholic churches in my city to accomodate everyone comfortabley.
There is a church that is about 20 min away from my house that is crowded but they have more than 2 masses instead of 9 and 11 am on Sunday. I'm thinking of starting to go there! I really miss going to church
